Trainer socks too big

Socksrus · 23/06/2023 17:35

I have bought two different makes of these trainer socks which are meant to stay in your trainers without you seeing them. …..all of them are far too big and have so much excess material that they just bunch up. I am size 5 so don’t understand it. Am I better to buy children’s? Has anyone got experience/

Marks and Sparks is the answer to this. I'm a size 5 as well and god isn't it annoying how 'size 4-7' socks are quite clearly size 7 socks? Marks do two sizes of adult socks for women - 3-5 and 5-8, the 3-5s fit very nicely.

I think H&M do them in size 3-5? I have some and I'm a 3, no excess fabric.

Primark do different sizes too.

I get kids ones ages 18 -24 months. I'm size 4

I got these from Amazon. I find the ones that just cover your toes annoying but these are good.

They're all one size. I'm size 5

Wash them at 40 or even 60 and they will shrink. I'm size 4 in shoes and most socks start out too big before a wash or two.

The Primark ones are my fave. They are slightly net-like when stretched. Every other brand I've tried have ended up with the heel part slipping down and sitting uncomfortably in my trainer.
