Silver jewellery - where has it gone?!

Does anyone have any recommendations for mid-range silver jewellery? Pieces ranging between £50-£150?

I'm so sick of gold being everywhere because it really doesn't suit my ghostly skin! I have a few bits from Dinny Hall but would like something slightly cheaper to refresh my collection.

Nothing sparkly - prefer natural shapes, bit more 'rustic' looking. Love a saltwater pearl. Thanks!

Look on Not on the High Street and Etsy.

Oliver Bonas has a good range of silver but very much in the “dainty” style.

Agree with Etsy, you do need to hunt past the mass produced stuff but there are some lovely handmade bits on there.

Thanks. Hadn't thought about Etsy, guess I will need to be a more specific about what I want to narrow it down.....

Danielle Draper has some lovely pieces 😊

Neverendingsaga1 · 23/06/2023 16:07

Sorry Daniella Draper!

Thanks, I'll check it out.

My ultimate favourite jewellery designer is Shimara Carlow if that gives you an indication of what I love. But it's too pricey right now!

What about a beautiful sea glass & silver ring from a small business?
I have one from here and it is lovely.

There are some amazing silversmiths on Folksy, which is uk based and shuts down the aliexpress resellers quickly, unlike etsy. Be wary on etsy, do a reverse image search before you part with your cash.....they allow cheap factory made stuff.

Chambers & Beau. Small independent but fabulous jewellery.

great stories behind these pieces, the seller is also a lovely person, I bought something from her last year. There’s quite a variety of styles, the more organic looking stuff might be your aesthetic, I don’t like dainty but I like intricate stuff inspired by nature.

These are all lovely and pretty reasonable when compared with Katherine Zoraida

Emelevenco on Instagram- she's my friend's daughter and a qualified silversmith. Beautiful pieces!

Two shops local to me that are lovely:

Also echo Etsy. My siblings both sell silver jewellery (hand made) on there and so do some friends, all very nicely done (I doubt you'd want one of my brother's skull rings though 😬)

What kind of pieces are you looking? My most recent purchases are monica vinader, mejuri, missoma, lily & roo. I'm eyeing up few items on Revolve as well...

LunaNorth · 23/06/2023 22:50

Kit Heath stuff is nice, with lovely organic shapes.

NeedToKnow101 · 23/06/2023 22:51

Try www.louisewade.com She's a LTN independent jeweller. All her pieces come in silver (and gold, or gold vermeil). It's lovely stuff 😍

Internetwanderer · 23/06/2023 23:09

John Garland Taylor has a decent range.
Element Isle have some more varied designs.

evilharpy · 24/06/2023 10:22

There's definitely a lot more gold around these days. When I was younger, in my 20s and 30s, everything was silver. I have a box full of lovely silver jewellery I no longer wear but I don't think it suits my skin tone anymore.

Have you looked at Monica Vinader?

Howmanyroses · 24/06/2023 10:33

I used to buy a lot more silver jewellery but find that some of it discolours overtime, and I can't figure out what type I need to be buying for it not to go black. I store it in a proper jewellery box. I find that with gold this never happens, so I think it's a better investment
