Best purple conditioner

Arghhhhhh 😭😭 I’ve just discovered my favourite best ever purple conditioner by Lush has been discontinued and I’m gutted. It was called Aga’s and was super pigmented, made my pillows purple (downside) but was so good that my hair was a lovely ash colour using it once a week and my hairdresser hasn’t had to use a toner on my highlights ever since I started using it. I get so many compliments on my hair.

I’ve tried fudge but it’s crap.

Can anyone recommend a really great purple conditioner that does everything you want it to do? Or if there’s a purple shampoo that is the bizz and you can use normal conditioner after then that might work instead.

im so sad! HATE IT WHEN THEY DISCONTINUE STUFF 🫨

I love Fanola purple shampoo (got mine on eBay). Wear gloves through as it stains

Also love Shrine drops (Superdrug) - you add them to any conditioner, leave on hair for up for 10 mins, then rinse as normal. Available in various shades, I love White Blonde for keeping my hair bright and cool toned

Thank you for the reccs, I’ve not heard of shrine drops will have to look them up.

i was really hoping loads of people would come on saying the same brand but maybe this thread has got lost in the Friday night traffic!

Fanola for me as well. Makes a noticable difference.

Clarabellawilliamson · 23/06/2023 22:16

I think fanola is the most pigmented. I like the L'Oréal mask for extra conditioning aspect.

I found fudge crap as well. I bought the lee Stafford purple shampoo recently I think it's really good, and reasonable.

Another vote for the Lee Stafford shampoo and the conditioner, though I mix it with another richer conditioner for my very dry hair.

I used Redken when I was blonde.

Amika so a purple hair mask and it is SO good that I’ve stopped having a toner at the hairdresser as the mask lifts my hair so much (obviously use less often/for less time if you just want to preserve the blonde). I’ve tried every acclaimed purple shampoo/conditioner and have always felt like they dry my hair, this leaves it so nourished. It also smells like Amor Amor by Cacharel which I like for the nostalgia!

Olaplex Purple Shampoo is VERY purple and will kill any brassy tones but it is VERY PURPLE so only use it once or twice a week...

How do you counteract the harshness of purple shampoo/conditioners? I find they leave my long hair pretty dry.

1wokeuplikethis · 26/06/2023 16:55

Thank you for the suggestions ❤️ I’m going to try the fanola shampoo and if no good will try Amika

Bleach London silver shampoo

My hairdresser commented that Fanola is very drying when I told her I used it so I now use a conditioning treatment straight after.
