How long long do your summer dresses last.

I brought two summer dresses from next own brand, viscose mix, this is only the second summer of wearing them, and one is bobbling and one has gone shapeless, considering they are worn only a few months of the year 3/4 if we are lucky , is this normal, I need to replace them, but thinking maybe I should try a better brand, they both cost around £30.

Mine last so long they come back into fashion!

They are all natural fibres (cotton, linen, viscose, or a mix), and mostly woven, not jersey. The jersey ones are predominantly cotton. Viscose jersey does bobble and wear out much faster than cotton jersey.

I need to check the fabric contents next time. The one that's bobbling is 95% viscose 5% elastane

I usually buy one new one a year. So the oldest I've got and still wear is about 8 or 9 years old now.

I usually spend in the £60-100 range on that one dress though and try to get natural fibres.

I’ve got loads of dresses, some over 10 years old. I’ve got one cheap one 5 years old, it’s a bit bobbled but still ok. The more expensive ones such as monsoon have lasted really well.

I've got summer dresses I've had for a decade or more. As you say, they don't get worn much.

Sadly for me, the quality in Next, for the price, has been dreadful for years. In the 90s it was my go to place for almost everything. Not for a long time now.

I have a jersey maxi dress I bought in Monsoon 12 years ago. I've worn it this summer. It is in perfect condition, good quality cotton jersey.

I do have older dresses that are still fine, I never used to shop in next, only on line with other brands, I won't be buying another next own brand dress, as others have said I think the quality has declined.

My dresses last me for years. I buy nice quality dresses from M&S. I have about 5 dresses, that I wear every summer.
