Removing stale smells from clothes

I recently bought a second hand Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress. The material is silk Jersey. It stinks of mould.
I've washed it with detergent, with bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar and it's been in the sun all day but still the smell lingers.
Any tips would be most welcome.

Have you tried biological detergent? If nearly leave it soak for a while?

You realise that you neutralised the bicarbonate by using vinegar. The vinegar is the acid and the baking soda is the base. I wouldn't use a biological detergent or soak it either. I would possibly rewash it, maybe with the vinegar and follow up with fabric conditioner and dry it in the sun some more. Alternatively you could try a dry cleaner.

There are specific laundry liquids for silk. Ecover sell one
I would not risk bio liquid It's probably too harsh
Just vinegar for the rinse

You can get laundry disinfectants (Dettol do one) which are great for musty smells but you'd need to check they are suitable for the fabric

Try a cool wash with a tiny bit of Zoflora Fresh Linen scent added to the washing liquid and and also in the fabric conditioner compartment.
