Serum foundations

I’m 51 with fairly good skin. I currently use Estée Lauder double wear light or Estée Lauder double wear sheer long wear makeup and sometimes Chanel vitalumiere.

However I don’t love all of these foundations.

Would a serum foundation be better? I saw a Marie Claire article on them recommending Bobbi Brown’s intensive serum foundation and Kat Von D’s one and the MAC Studio Waterweight one. Has anyone tried these?

Mix your current foundation with hyaluronic acid before applying. Works wonders.

I have the Bobbi Brown one and I hate it. I'm only using it because it was expensive.
It's the slimy texture I can't stand. I wouldn't buy another serum foundation. (not enough coverage either, nowhere near even as much as the DW sheer)

The L’Oréal one linked above is good but apparently the new Maybeline one is better and doesn’t settle into texture either.

I only need light coverage and I love the ysl nu skin one. It evens out my skin tone and doesn’t settle in any lines or pores.

im 47 with i believe good skin. So this just makes it look even better. The urban decay hydromaniac is great as well but can oxidise and go slightly orange. Other than that by terry cc serum tinted moisturiser. That’s my all time favourite but I have difficulty getting the lighter shades and I don’t think they have a good range of you are not light skinned.

try the 'missha m perfect' BB cream - great dewy serum type base makeup, not a foundation i know, but it provides as much coverage as one imo
