Swimwear suggestions

I have been putting off taking my baby swimming for a while because I hate everything about indoor swimming pools and I’m not fond of swimming. Also, I am clueless about what I should wear. Baby is nearly 1 year old and I still haven’t taken him swimming and I want him to be confident in water (unlike me). What should I wear?

The only swimming pools I’m accustomed to have been when I’ve been abroad in hot countries (usually only swimming towards a swim up bar 😂) and was pre-baby. I used to have a flat tummy so I used to wear bikinis, always hated the all in one swimsuits. My body is now hideous and I am really self conscious but I need to get on with it for my sons sake. Has anyone seen any swim wear that isn’t an all in one swimsuit that will suit my new neglected mum bod?

Ooh thanks, I’ll take a look. Didn’t think tankinis were still a thing 🤣 was never that keen on them but they aren’t as bad as all in ones I suppose 🤔

I have an Evans tankini top which I love (pair it with swim shorts). Looks nice and gives good cover plus I find the wider straps are comfortable.
Obvs depends on your size, but their ranges start from 14.

Just looking at them now actually as need to get a new one!
FYI there seem to be more types/ designs on the main site under swimwear (the one I have is a 3-tiered tankini one and will prob get same again)

Tankinins but also the all in ones can be lovely, I got a really attractive swimming togs in Tesco. Also who cares, you are there for family time, not putting your body on stage, enjoy!

I wear a bikini top and swim shorts - mine are pinched from DH but you could alway buy a pair you like. I don’t mind the area that is still showing but my c section pooch is concealed

See I think I would like this,
a bikini top with a bottom that provides a bit more coverage as I have a pear shaped body and my bum and thighs are bigger than my top half. Also, have a c section pouch 🤣
