Rude Vinted seller

Bought a dress off Vinted. When trying on the dress it had been stretched to buggery and the button holes left with large gaps due to the fabric being previously stressed so won’t/can’t go back to original shape, even on the hanger the large holes are there clearly so the same when not wearing too. At first the seller was pleasant and admitted she can see the fault and she hadn’t noticed prior to sending, then changed completely after she spoke to her friend and they said it’s not faulty.

Im going to send it back (bit gutted I have to pay the postage but hey ho!) however, the seller won’t stop messaging me saying how experienced her and her friends are in fashion and how this is not damaged (she said she works in fashion), and that it’s actually my body/figure that doesn’t suit the dress! I’ve had to explain that I’m finding her rude and insulting, I will send the item back and I’d like her to stop messaging me now, she won’t stop though, if I block her and send the item back will I still receive the refund?

No way of asking Vinted this as they have no customer service for this.

I would wait until I had the refund tbh, sounds unpleasant though! Jxx

Not sure about Vinted but I would worry that if you blocked her she might not be able to refund if blocked.

She sounds crazy. How much was the dress? I know the problem that you describe. My mum once fixed this for me by putting a couple of stitches in the button hole which tightened them up.

Just send it back and stop engaging. Unless it's high value just chalk it up to experience.

Thank you. I have stopped engaging with her, I will send it back and as you say.. chalk it up to experience.

Its such a shame as I also sell on Vinted and I’d never in a million years blame a damaged item on someone’s body or body shape. Feels like a very nasty thing to do.
