I'm after a perfume which has ylang-ylang as a base note; anyone got any good recommendations? It's my absolute favourite scent, even recommendation for bath oil or body oil would be gratefully received. Tried the Molton Brown one and the fragrance just wasn't strong enough.

Body Shop do a Ylang-Ylang perfume - might be worth a look.
I have this Calm mist from the White Company - it contains ylang ylang and smells lovely. www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Calm-Mist/p/CLDBM

M&S do a Mandarin and Ylang Ylang perfume. It's very nice and a great price too.

Thank you both - I'll have a trip into town this weekend and see if I can have a try of some testers of these.

I think Chanel No. 5 is ylang ylang. It doesn’t suit me at all, and some people find it a bit old-lady-ish, but it’s a classic - apparently it was Marilyn Monroe’s signature scent. Might be worth sniffing a tester, even if you decide it’s not for you.

Diptyque Eau Mohéli, it’s a lovely summer fragrance. The website describes it as: “Here, the ylang-ylang flower takes centre stage, as it does on the island of Moheli in the Comoros archipelago, where this star-shaped yellow flower flourishes alongside lushious vegetation. It has never been experienced this way: green, spicy, slightly woody, without languor or opulence.”

Ooh that's interesting as I really don't like No 5 😁

Maybe I should try No 5 again with a fresh nose and see if I can pick out the ylang-ylang. Thanks again for all suggestions. I always thought that Ysatis by Givenchy smells like it has hints of it but it doesn't sit well on my skin, having just looked it up there's no mention of ylang-ylang.

Songes by Annick Goutal is very ylang ylang orientated. Along with Frangipani & White flowers. You can buy little bottles on Amazon to try. Though I haven't tried any modern bottles of this recently. The older versions were pretty potent.

@WhenIWasAFieldMyself that website link I really useful as I have been trying to find a Peony perfume. I now have a list of 9 others to try as I already like the Peony Couture. Thanks
