Evening dress help please

I would be very grateful for suggestions about where to look for an evening dress for a black tie event. I’m 50,between a 16 and an 18, hourglass shaped, with brown hair and green eyes. I’d like something long or midi length with sleeves. I’ve looked at John Lewis, Phase Eight etc. I can’t see anything I like in the places I’d usually look.

Where could I get something elegant but edgy for no more than £250 ish ?
