Styling cargo trousers for night out

I’m going out for cocktails and a bit of dancing and I really like the idea of satin cuffed cargo trousers and heels but I am a bit stuck about the top. I hate my arms so would either go elbow length or some sort of cover up. Any ideas or suggestions?

Surely the point of that type of trouser as going out wear is as a witty contrast to a barely there top? Tube, vest, camisole sort of thing.

You could add a tiny, tight, cropped top with long narrow sleeves. Anything more would be casual office wear. Grin

And if you want to cover up on your top half, you’re obliged to wear shorts or a mini on your lower half!

(I’m at home in flannel pj trousers and a very ragged sweatshirt …)

I don’t think I’m obliged to wear a shorts or a mini skirt 🤣

Something silk

You need a crop top to balance out cargo trousers for a night out really

Crop or vest top with a slouchy white or sequin blazer with the sleeves rolled up

I've worn mine with similar to these, really thin with or without back detail

Some lovely ideas. I like the vest and blazer idea a lot
