Can anyone help?

one of my parents came to collect their child and she had on the most beautiful dress. She couldn’t remember where it was from and said I could check the label but there was no label.

I have scoured the internet but haven’t found it.

It is pale blue, ankle length, buttoned all the way down, has a belt and white borderie anglaise at the top.

I really, really want it, please help.

More details would help- sleeves/no sleeves; fitted or loose etc?

None of those @Defiantlynot41 its a darker blue and the Dress is darker blue, I think corn flower blue perhaps. Thank you though.

If she can't remember where she got it, it might be that she's had it a while?

If it had no label, I would assume she got it second hand, it’s vintage etc

It is unlikely to be something currently in the shops

It's ankle length on this woman but no buttons or belt. It's Boden.

Thank you ladies but alas none of those. I know it was a new dress as she said she had brought it recently. I am wondering as she travels a lot if it was brought abroad though……sigh.

Was the broderie anglaise all over? like embroidered in?

How can she not remember where she got it from??! I find that really odd.

You need to add more detail re sleeves and where the white is.

No label suggests that it came from a factory seconds shop. She may not know which shop it was made for. Often the shops are a bit low key and only open limited hours sometimes needing a membership card.

I used to buy loads from these places, often located in a corner of an industrial estate.

in answer to more detail the sleeves are short and have a bit folded over. The belt is a proper matching belt. The broderie bit is just around the top and in white, like stitching. The whole dress is I think cornflower blue. Not dark blue at all. It had buttons from top to bottom.

I work in an independent school so I am guessing it was designer but who knows.

Does it have a collar like a shirt dress?
