I'm rubbish at fashion, what colour accessories would go with this dress? Thanks!

I think a shade of pink that's within the flowers of the dress would be lovely, and it would bring out those flowers a bit more.

Whatdoesitmeann · 18/06/2023 16:39

Thanks I have a pink fascinator from last year but it's not the right pink so doesn't look right typically, will have to try and match something

I think I'd go with the lilac of the flowers in dress. Dress is gorgeous btw

jeaux90 · 18/06/2023 17:06

I'd go with the cream flowers and keep the accessories neutral, looks more modern. Also then your purchase is flexible use wise.

thisthenthat · 18/06/2023 17:09

Nice dress. I'd go lilac.

morelippy · 18/06/2023 17:10

I'd go the darker pink.

Watchthedoormat · 18/06/2023 17:12

I'd go with cream bag and lilac fascinator.

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/06/2023 17:13

I’d go with lilac too - would look stunning. Lovely dress btw.

Ooh nice ideas thanks, I like the idea of lilac fascinator and cream bag

I'd have the bag, shoes and fascinator in the same colour.

Whatdoesitmeann · 18/06/2023 17:19

Cream would be more sensible for everything in the same colour, can get more use out of them

Pink fascinator, nude/cream shoes and bag. Put a pink ribbon or something like that on the bag for the occasion!

Ooh the ribbon is a good idea.

If they are strappy sandals, you could add the ribbon to the shoes somehow. Glue gun...

Think cream fascinator depends on your hair colour. I'm blonde and tried cream, and it wasn't great.

HermioneWeasley · 18/06/2023 19:54

I’d go for pink or green to pick out the flowers.

do you really need a fascinator? I always think they look dated and I’d have your hair done instead. Maybe a fancy jewelled clip or comb if your hair is thick enough to take it?

Whatdoesitmeann · 18/06/2023 20:36

Haha I'm not creative, no ribbons getting attached here! Hair is blonde highlighted. Was going to order online but might have to be a last minute shop. Have to have a fascinator for Ascot!

Sorry to hijack your thread OK but can I ask where your dress is from? It would be perfect for a summer wedding that we're going to.

Whatdoesitmeann · 19/06/2023 12:29

@NeedWineNow it's from Next website - Lipsy

Rather than gluing ribbon have a look at shoe clips, whichever colour you choose you could get shoe clips that colour to go on neutral shoes, if you don’t want to buy eg lilac shoes on this occasion.

personally id go lilac as I think it looks lovely with the yellow, but any of the colours within the dress would work, as these responses show!

ThatFraggle · 19/06/2023 14:22

>shoe clips

I never knew such a thing existed!

cigarettesNalcohol · 19/06/2023 14:24

Cream fascinator
