Which dress?

I appreciate they are both very different styles of dress, so I'm expecting a mixture of opinions.

I've bought both of these dresses for a wedding I'm attending in July, I'll be 15w pregnant at that point, I'm already showing (second pregnancy, body had already started shifting) so may have a fair sized bump at that point.

I initially purchased the navy one, because the empire cut would allow to disguise the bump a bit and there's still movement space, however, I've been so hot over the past few weeks, I worry that a dark floor length (albeit airy) dress is going to be too warm. So I bought the floral one, but I'm concerned that it's a bit too casual for a wedding? I'm also quite short so the dress comes to just above my knees, not mid thigh.

I've got shoulder length hair which I will curl and some blush pink hair accessories and sandals that I plan to wear with either dress, ds and dh are wearing navy with pale pink too, so either dress will coordinate with them.

So out of the two, what would you pick?

They are both lovely. Love the navy one but that is cos i love long dresses, but i think you will be more comfortable in floral dress.

Neither. Sorry!
I agree that the floor length one will feel hot and not the right vibe for wedding, but the other one looks like a nightie with added flouncy sleeves

I think the navy one is really beautiful but I do think it could be too warm, so for comfort, I'd go for the second one Smile

I prefer the pattern of the floral one but the length and shape of the navy one which I appreciate is not helpful!

I’d also say neither. Unless the wedding is very formal in which case I’d say the long one or super casual in which case maybe the short one. But neither are general wedding appropriate imho. One looks more evening dress and the other meet your mates in a beer garden.

I think the short one is too short and the long one is too long. GrinConfused

Thank you for all the feedback.

My mum actually suggested having the navy one taken up to about knee length, which may be an option because I think that may work?

It's funny what people see as appropriate clothing for weddings, both of them came under "wedding guest dresses" when I searched.

So yeah, thank you :) the silkfred dresses are lovely, so may have to go back to the drawing board and spend some more time searching :)

I think it depends how formal the wedding is (the first dress is very formal and probably quite hot, the second dress is quite informal but would be nice for relaxed wedding).
If you’re open to other suggestions then I had this dress when I was pregnant last year and it was my favorite. https://www.seraphine.com/en-gb/blue-floral-maternity-and-nursing-midi-dress-ss22/
It’s nice and cool, isn’t obviously a maternity/nursing dress (the openings for breastfeeding are hidden under the wrap bit unlike with some nursing dresses). It’s also formal enough for most events whilst being simple enough that you can dress it down.
The light blue would be really pretty with pale pink and navy
