Comfortable summery shoes

I’m in a shoe crisis. I haven’t bought shoes in ages.

My “fancy” good shoes for going out absolutely shredded my feet last week when I went out for dinner.

Spent this week tending blisters and wearing flip flops. But now I have a pain starting from my second and third toes on my right foot up to nearly my ankle and I cannot contemplate wearing ANY of my shoes now.

And next weekend DH are going into Town to dinner and the theatre for the first time in YEARS and now I have shoe fear.

So I’m looking for comfy nice shoes to wear out, in the first instance. And non-flip flop summer shoes… any suggestions very gratefully received.

I have fairly narrow feet.. thank you in advance

What sort of thing do you like, as the range is very wide. I personally consider light sneakers to be summery shoes and pretty much never wear anything that shoes toes, but do you want sandals?

My non flip flops are Teva sandals. Very good for walking in Summrt.

I think I’m after light trainers, that are smart enough for a date night (although tbf when I was out last weekend, it seems anything goes these days - I’m clearly very out of touch )

Vionics. Have 4 pairs now. Expensive, but worth the freedom from pain.

Noticed several pretty young things today wearing Teva strappy sandals with their wafty dresses (do fear I'm the wrong end of 40 to get away with this look myself though - I'm an Arizona Birkies girl and Stan Smith trainers for closed toes).

Look at some of the Lotus wedges

I'd never heard of Vionics (see they have a sale atm) or Lotus … going to order a few different styles and hope something works!

Just to give an update. My feet healed and I landed up with these Fitflop sandals - not pretty but they were amazing to walk around London in. I basically forgot I had feet 😅
