Hen do outfit advice

Hi, I’d love some advice about what to wear to a hen do in London in the summer.

There’s a day activity which I will probably wear a nice but casual dress and white trainers- sound ok?

Then in the evening is dinner and dancing in central London (would rather not say the venue as outing, but I will if you think that makes a big difference to what I should wear).

I’ve no idea really what people wear out nowadays. I don’t live in London (I don’t even live in a big city) and rarely go on big nights out, more meals and pubs etc. I’m late 30s but feel very out of touch! Most of the other attendees are a similar age but most live in London and probably more aware of fashion.

I’m a size 10 but a bit conscious of the mum tum and wobbly arms. I’m thinking a dress but how dressy? For shoes I’m assuming heels but I’ve no idea what kind. Please tell me what sort of thing to wear, wise people of mumsnet!

Too many variables! What is the activity? Is it indoors or outdoors? Active or passive?

Also a 'nice but casual' dress could be anything!

Are you going back to your accommodation to change for the evening, or are you looking for something that can do both?

Sorry should’ve been clearer. The day time activity will I think be partly outdoors and partly indoors.

Yes we will have time to go back and get changed and ready for the evening. To be honest I think I’m ok with the day time outfit, it’s more the evening that I’m not sure about.
