Lightening toenails?

I stubbed my toe outside terribly last month and since then my toe has been black. The nail has grown but it looks so dark. Is there any way to lighten a toe nail somehow?

Paint it with dark polish. Job done.

Is it dark because the nailbed underneath turned black with the rest of your toe? Honestly I’d just leave it, let it heal with air and sunshine.

So it's healed but the toe just seems to have discoloured/feels quite rough

If only every problem could be sorted so easily 🤣

I find a metallic coloured nail varnish works well, one with good coverage
