Chub rub shorts other than Snag

I like their short ones better but they're a bit expensive and roll up, anyone else do short ones that do stay put?

I am now happy to wear dresses after not wearing them for years due to the discomfort of the rubbing

I do like the Snag ones for lightness, but there’s two things that really annoy me.

  1. the seam straight up the middle of the front
  2. the rasping noise when you walk! They don’t glide over each other, you can hear them. (I’m a 16 and quite chunky of thigh) Maybe I should size up so it’s not stretched as much?

I’m trying some random Amazon ones

My snags don't have a seam Confused
I've never noticed them making a noise either, but I'm spectacularly unobservant Grin

My snag ones don’t have a seam and don’t make a noise, I am a size 16 too

GayPareeee · 16/06/2023 09:58

Sadly those matalan ones are out of stock in my size, they've had some great clothing this summer

M and S.

H&M I got the maternity ones even though I'm not pregnant 🤣 £17.99 for 2 pairs - they are like a second skin

Haffiana · 16/06/2023 12:54

I have tried them all and the best are Jockey Skimmies. Silky smooth, seamless, cool and comfortable.

planthelpadvice · 16/06/2023 12:57

According to my Amazon account these are the ones I have - they don't roll up and are cool and comfortable to wear. They aren't cotton though. I have them in white and beige in large and I wear UK 12-14 clothing.

Agree with this. Mine also unraveled at the leg and rolled up.

M&S gets my vote.

I’ve just ordered some! They are on a flash deal u til tomorrow, £15.99 for 3.

GayPareeee · 16/06/2023 14:46

Which ones? Marks?

I bought some from M&S yesterday, not the ones linked above and these ones aren’t on the website so I can’t link. They were called cool comfort control shorts I think, no lace, very soft.
I tried them on and could see straight away that they were going to roll up so I sized up twice. Have worn them all day today and can confirm they are quite cool and comfortable, no rolling at all so a winner for me
definitely

Wolfcub · 16/06/2023 14:48

Second the votes for chamois cream

I got my lovely sloggi ones on Amazon. I prefer that they're cotton rich rather than the tights fabric ones that I see about. l think they were called long briefs. Game changer for summer dresses.

Twilightstarbright · 16/06/2023 15:11

I prefer anti chafing bands than the shorts, John Lewis sell them.

HappiDaze · 16/06/2023 15:28

I've been wearing these all day and they've stayed in place so I'm really happy. I'm a size 18

M&S do some great ones that aren't tight. They're like wearing a slip but they're a pair of culottes rather than a skirt if you know what I mean? I prefer them to snag

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/cool-comfort-culotte-slip/p/clp60531773?intid=mobileappppdpshare

Another vote for Jockey. skimmies - they never roll up stay put and you can get them in different leg lengths ( longer ones good for winter ).

bingohandjob · 16/06/2023 19:11

Big Bloomers (terrible name, very comfortable, don't ride up). Lanacane anti chafing gel is really good - a little goes a long way and it's small enough to slip into your bag. I picked one of these up in the sale too but haven't had to use yet as my Big Bloomers have been in full effect this heatwave week!

Yep the snag ones rolled up on me too. And I don't like that they are tights material. These ones from matalan are AMAZING. I basically scoured the internet and tried ones from all kind of places so believe me I've tried them all and these are the best 😂 they're silky stretchy material, don't ride up and a little longer than most which is better for me.

Might try these, thanks. So disappointed with the Snag ones. They roll up constantly and just aren’t that comfortable.
