Summer trousers for plus size

I've got a holiday coming up and am starting to panic about summer clothing as I've found that all my regular stuff doesn't fit me this year.

I'm a size 24 top and 22 bottoms with a humungous stomach. My arms are flabby and my legs are chunky. I look like a walking barrel and it's not a good look.

I'm wanting to buy some trousers and shorts for my hols but am baffled by which style would suit my shape best. I think I would prefer cropped trousers if I could get away with it.

So, which style would suit me best please? Straight leg, wide leg, tapered, culottes, chinos, cargo pants? I really am so confused.

Also, how badly does linen-blend crease? I don't want to buy 100% linen because I won't be able to iron anything whilst I'm away but I wonder whether I could get away with linen-blend.

This sort of shape would add balance, I think.

Linen viscose blend, so breathable yet less likely to crease. Elasticated waist.

Linen blend is fine and serves the purpose. Pure linen is a nightmare for travelling.

Roman do a summer crop trouser which I wear a lot with loose fitting tops or tunics.

If you look up linen blend shorts there are loads. Knee length denim shorts are the devil's work.

I also wear empire line and "smock" dresses. I'm never going to look slim in them but they cover a multitude of sins and look nice.

Enjoy your holiday!

There is a size 20 style lady on Instagram today, fabfatand40plus, trying some shorts/crops etc from Seasalt that might be worth looking at.
