Got a wedding reception coming up, at the bride and grooms local (also my old local and were they met!).

What the heck do I wear? Ashamedly, I'm 41 and have never been to one before 😳😂

So help me out please ladies, currently size 18/20 (should be smaller by August as already lost 16lbs in a month 😁) hour glass with very big boobs. Any ideas? Want to look nice but also appropriate 😂

By 'local' do you mean pub? If so we need to know more, for example is the local a quaint thatched olde worlde county pub, a high street pub, or an estate pub?

Good point about cleavage. If too low cut, you could always sew a press stud on to close the gap slightly, without losing the shape.

As with a lot of wedding attire, well any event attire for that matter, it depends on the venue.

Is it a local boozer in a housing estate, or somewhere high end with a marquee on beautiful terracing overlooking a river?

Can recommend pretty kitty for some great dresses for hourglass shapes. Lots of colour and style choices and can be dressed up or down.

It is an estate pub! Hence the wondering what the hell is appropriate!

I'd say anything other than jeans and trainers would be ok in terms of appropriateness, then you just need to find something that you feel good in. You don't necessarily need to be looking for "wedding guest" attire, just a dress or trousers/cami/jumpsuit you feel good in and some comfy shoes for a boogie.

Don't over think it, treat it as if you're going to a mates' 40th in the same pub and you'll be fine in terms of appropriateness.

Do you think something like this would be OK? I have friends wanting to make an effort and other saying 'but it's only the insert pub name here' 😂
