Flats with dresses?

I've read a lot of threads on shoes and dresses. Are flats with a dress frumpy... am struggling. I could wear sandals but my feet and toes are not my best feature though I am working on them. Trainers or canvas pumps are so hot . Office v warm. Help!

I think it depends on the style of dress. I like midi dresses and find that pointed flats look OK.

Can you wear flat slingbacks?

Open sandals are a bit cooler and more feminine?

Thanks yes it's just in the office I don't want to expose my toes lol. Maybe sling backs if I work on my heels a bit more... they are better than they were but dry out very quick and then look gross

What about some raffia type flats to let some air in? Tan colour goes with most things.
