Flattering shorts that aren't short (short)

I'd love to wear shorts but mid forties I don't fancy the short short. I don't have bad legs but would prefer mid thigh length and not skin tight.

So far everything I've found have been chino style which don't suit me.

Has anyone got the perfect pair?

Thank you, I like that they're less leg grippy but still a bit shorter than I'd like. Why is it so hard to dress for summer 😳

I've just found a perfect pair in Sainsbury's Tu, they are mid blue, not too short, made with tenecel, I have a similar pair of trousers from the and they are fantastic.

I've just checked online and can't find them but you may have luck I store, FatFace also do some loose fitting shorts which are lovely
