Black tie wedding

Been invited to a black tie wedding in September. I can’t find anything I like.

Can anyone advise what to wear?

Had seen a dress but don’t think it’s formal enough

Honestly, WTF are these weddings now please? Instructions to guests as to how to dress? I'd go mad. But look that's just me.

Anyway if you give some clues as to the setting, country, etc. further suggestions might be forthcoming from more helpful people than me! But I like the dress you posted, it looks great and would suit the instructions fine.

This drives me mad. Come to our wedding but only if we can tell you what to wear.

I think black tie is usually a long dress, so that dress would be fine, no? It would look stunning and a good summer-to-autumn choice. I have to confess I haven't been to a black tie event for probably 20 years though, I did used to go back in the day!
