I find it so hard to get clothes for work in the summer (and at all, tbh, but I only have about 2 outfits I wear outside work - in work, for a five day week, I need more options!).
I’m size 12, early 30s, 5ft 9. I’m looking for:
- something that isn’t cleavage-y at all, but also not high necked. I have big boobs and high necks give me a real smuggling water balloons look. I often wear a strap top under dresses and that makes them more ‘modest’;
- something midi length. I want to wear it without tights, and don’t want anything shorter than mid-calf length;
- something that won’t show sweat patches (no light blue, etc - I think patterns are better, or something with a double layer against the skin);
- something with sleeves that go down to the middle of my upper arm;
- something not made from that horrible stretchy, clingy fabric they use at White Stuff etc;
- something I can eat a massive school lunch in and not worry about bloating afterwards - so fairly loose.
Any ideas at all? Work dress code is smart - men in suits and ties, etc. If it helps, my favourite work dress is from Ralph Lauren and a variation on this one (but with a rounder neck, and no slit at the front): https://www.ralphlauren.co.uk/en/floral-belted-crepe-dress-3616851474111.html?utm_subchannel=shopping&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidshopping&utm_campaign=model&utm_term=pmax&utm_content=crid_campaign17147964894_adgroup_tid_pid3616851474111&gbraid=0AAAAADnESOyGlqGBmowJCxW0PZQUCSAuR&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7PCjBhDwARIsANo7CglcnapF5_n91dvLr-xwxsqy7EkKDvePHD0VhRhxaGc2ZlUEOmfZUi4aAtP5EALw_wcB - but I got it in a sale years ago for £80 (still wear it once a week). Happy to spend around £80 - £100 maximum on a dress in terms of my budget.
Thank you!
