Summer hat for a large head

Any recommendations, I'm after a traditional, big floppy summer hat, but I have a large head, with thick hair and everyone I try, just perches on my head, rather than actually fitting.

Any suggestions? I know I could get a practical Tilley hat that will fit, but was hoping for something a little prettier

Tilly's are pretty cool though, and they'll last forever 😄.

Next have a good selection of sunhats in M/L size. I’ve just bought a straw one with stripes which fits my large head with thick hair very nicely. Their men’s bucket hats are also worth a look if you want something colourful.

i tried on a ladies crochet bucket hat on in m and s this week and it was surprisingly comfortable on my head. Have since read the reviews and other customers have commented the same. I have the same issue - big head, big hair - and hats are usually uncomfortably tight or don’t fit at all. Makes me feel self conscious about my huge head.
considering it was named a bucket hat it was pretty and had a nice floppy brim.

I have the same problem but bought a panama ( so not quite big floppy hat ) but this company sell hats with a little velcro thing to make then fit better - not cheap but after 10 years of trying to buy off the peg hats I was prepared to pay it for the next 10 or so years - Pachacuti https://www.panamas.co.uk/product-category/women/

Uniqlo straw sun hat was way too big for my head so maybe try that
