Matching blazer out of stock. What goes with these trousers.

Going to a wedding in a month.

I have a pair of wide leg crepe lilac trousers from M&S (ideal at they have a stretch waist and not linen) The matching lilac blazer is totally out of stock.

Does anyone have any suggestions what to wear as the other half of my outfit?

Would another colour of blazer look daft?

What else could I wear instead of a blazer?

(If the blazer was available I have a white shell top that goes with the trousers).

Maybe one of the Next Lipsy waterfall cardigans in a neutral shade and a statement necklace/scarf?

Denim jacket?

Is it out of stock online, in your local store, or everywhere?

Do you have any other blazers or jackets? I can imagine a lot of colours could look really chic and bold with lilac - lipstick pink, klein blue...or a lilac blazer that isn't matching but different enough to look contrasting could be really good too.

That’s a lovely cardigan. I can’t quite imagine it with the trousers. But I may order it and see what it looks like. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think they would really suit a denim jacket. But maybe not for a wedding.

All sizes online are sold out. I have been into the shop and didn’t see any in store. I set the alert to be notified if it comes back in. Fingers crossed.

A mint or pale green would look lovely. Hope you find something.

I have a cream blazer (way to small now. But can try it on for colour comparisons).

Two different colours would look okay? Putting together an outfit is not my strong point. 😩

Maybe a nice white blazer, with your white shell top, and statement necklace? Possibly too much white for a wedding guest though!

They have 8, 10, 12 and 14 available online at the moment, but really low stock as in 1 or 2 available!

I have been on and of M&S all afternoon and all sizes were out of stock!!!

I grabbed a size 12 and 14. There was only one of each left. Hopefully they haven’t got their stock numbers wrong. That’s happened once before to me.

I also got a pale green linen. Just in case.

Now to accessorise. Like the idea of a scarf more than a necklace. Have a wee baby who will be with me and grabs at chains.
