Problem with Feet

My apologies if this should be posted elsewhere but it is sort of linked to Style and Beauty.

I stupidly wore new shoes (small heel) attending an afternoon tea in London with DH and another couple. I assumed we would be using taxis which we did going there but after the tea we went on somewhere else and our friends decided that as it was a lovely evening we should walk.

Long and short of it is since then my feet have been so sore (and it's been nearly 8 weeks!) I think I can see two tiny little corns under the surface. I've tried getting an appointment with a chiropodist without success so far. Doesn't help I work term time so difficult to attend appointments during the week. Last week DH and I went away for the weekend and did lots of walking, honestly I was like a cripple by the end of it (wearing trainers this time).

Anyone else had experience of this? Is there anything I can do to relieve the soreness of my feet until I can get them sorted?

Apply doublebase gel twice a day. Don’t rub it in or it won’t work. It’ll soften them sufficiently to remove the pain and the podiatrist will find it easier to remove the corn.

Used to be a podiatrist and I’ve helped lots of patients with doublebase, most creams rely on the skin being wet but this one doesn’t.
