Invisalign Costs please

I've searched MN and all the Invisalign threads are older and, with the current cost of living, I'm assuming prices have rocketed.

I know it depends on the individual, but can anyone share how much their Invisalign teeth straightening cost them in the recent past - not years ago please?

I’m having Invisalign treatment at the moment. I’m halfway through my treatment which should take about 18 months in total. I’m extremely happy with the results so far and my teeth look perfect to me, but my orthodontist wants my bite to be perfect. I’m on the comprehensive treatment plan which covers everything and as many refinements as necessary to complete the treatment. I’m in Cornwall and the total cost is £4800, including teeth whitening at the end. By the way, I’m the grand old age of 53, so it’s never too late!!

I paid around £3700 just for the top and that was in lockdown, so 2020? I imagine it's skyrocketed now. Well worth the money if you can afford it though.

I started a couple of months ago and it's about £4500

£4100, top and bottom, started in December. That's including everything until they are straight. Really happy so far.

£2600 here. Not including four extractions that were required to make space.

They do events here every few months where you can save over a grand. I paid £2400 for top and bottom and then got a discount on whitening afterwards (whitening not any part of invisalign of course but was nice to finish the treatment).

I started mine (top and bottom) in January and it cost £4,300. My dentist threw in whitening for free.

My first set of trays was 14 weeks and now I’ve got another 10 weeks, but will hopefully only need 6/8 weeks of them.

The best money I’ve ever spent! Knowing how good Invisalign is and how much care I’ve got from my dentist, I would never ever scrimp and do the cheapy online versions.

I had an orthodontist in Kensington quote me £7K for invisalign. Which is ludicrous (and I told her as much). I paid about 2K for invisalign at a dentist for the bottom set only, the top teeth being straight already.

Bear in mind that there are limitations to Invisalign and and "retainer" type orthodontic treatment. "Train tracks" is still gold standard and can achieve results that retainer type treatments cannot. In general systems like Invisalign only move the front six teeth .
train tracks will often be cheaper as a lot of the cost of Invisalign is the laboratory fees the dentist pays , which are typically very expensive.
Go and see an orthodontist , who can discuss all orthodontic systems , the pluses and minuses of each so you can choose , rather than a dentist who only does Invisalign or similar system.

I must admit that I’m tempted by Invisalign, but I’m concerned that I’d need teeth out first.

Our orthodontist told me that Invisalign would give DD better results. Not sure if she was just seeing £££ as Invisalign a private thing for £4,500 and DD was entitled to standard braces on NHS.

Just under £5k for me. That includes 4 teeth removed; 36 aligners; teeth whitening and composite bonding.
Half way through and really happy with the results so far!

My dentist is always trying to sell me Invisalign. Because she does it so casually I always assumed it was maximum a couple of grand, not £4k+. This thread has been very educational haha.

I am just about to start the comprehensive package. It's £3,200.

I'm having invisalign in London at present. I've paid 3000 for invisalign lite.

£4500 for DS. Top and bottom, "medium complexity". I think it's about 40 weeks and includes 2 years of night retainers afterwards.

I don't know about limited movement that a poster describes above - I think he's had a10mm correction to overbite and his jaw profile is significantly changed.

We chose this becuase he already had a 2 year covid delay for referral then a min further 18 months for NHS waiting list, orthodontist advised would be better if he could be treated before he finished growing. The NHS treatment would have taken 2.5 years in two stages and significant speech impediment in the block braces. Invisalign is about 9 months for everything and hardly any impact on speech. Can't believe the NHS approach can really be cost effective for them to provide if that is true?? Anyway, I bought the invisalign sales pitch on that basis.

£3000 altogether for top and bottom. Around 11 months treatment plan!

If your DS is still in pubertal growth spurt then they may be able to direct that to correct overjet (overjet is front teeth sticking out, overbite is top front teeth overlapping lower teeth, reverse over jet is bulldog bite) as lower jaws grow more than upper jaws in boys .

@Lollygaggle thanks - that makes sense against what the orthodontist said and makes clearer why he was keen on getting on with the timing. It's been a really successful treatment for DS (coming up to the end of the 40 weeks now). Has corrected overjet and overbite.

I've got them right now. My dentist said there were 3 tiers of treatment, depending on how much needed doing. £3k, £4K and £5k. I'm on the middle band. 3-4 months and whitening included. I'm in London so quite surprised by the costs of some others as I expected mine to be at the higher end.

I am over half way-best thing I ever did.

As I got older (50+) my crowding at the front was getting worse and worse. I no longer wanted to be in pictures.

I only did top as wasn't so fussed about the bottom plus it was a lot of money!

London city- £2850 both arches Invisalign moderate (up to 20 aligners) plus another up to 20 if refinements are needed. The price includes other things like hygiene cleans, Vivera retainers, whitening, teeth shaping etc.
