Self tan on holiday

My understanding is that the pool bleaches the tan off, I’d be keen to understand from people if that’s always the case.
I don’t want to make self tan routines the centre of my holiday but I would like the option to not look ghostly pale on my legs especially, and I won’t give up my factor 50.
My current plan is to take tanning drops (hotel supplies body lotion) and add a little each evening, is this a waste of time? Will I only be tanned for breakfast?

The st tropez mist works well and is easy/quick.

thanks @denimdonut are you saying it doesn’t bleach off in the pool?

I Wouldn’t say it bleaches off but it does come off faster if you’re swimming/ wet after and if you go in the sea it’ll come off faster still as the salt is abrasive. I take Skinny Tan coconut serum and put it on when I get dressed for dinner probably every other day as it has no guide colour and it smells lovely.

It's not that the pool bleaches it, it's the constant getting wet and dried makes it come off quicker.
Ie, at home it will come off after 3 showers, going in and out of the pool would be the same as 3 showers.

I don't tend to fake tan during the day, but I use tanning drops on my face weekly and instant tan on my arms/legs in the evenings

I wear cocoa brown mousse - put it on in the evening after my shower before we go out. It leaves an immediate colour and then develops overnight & I have a colour the next day. . It’s only a few mins to put on.

Just embrace your pale legs.

Really.

When I realised that, my life became so much easier.

Skin tone is the thing. So, exfoliation, moisturiser. Sauna followed by cold is brilliant for skin tone. Make your skin happy and smooth! You don't need to bother with fake tan then.

It looks loads better to take care of the skin you have than to mess about with fake tan.
