Tanning on legs

Can anyone tell me why my fake tan doesn't work on my legs?

My hands, overtly orange, my shoulders and cleavage nicely bronzed, but my legs still white. Please tell me why?

No idea sorry but my shins don't tan, they stay white, even though my legs above my knees do! Shins do turn slightly brown with self-tan

Which self tan is it? It could be you already have a light natural tan on shoulders and cleavage.

I always apply fake tan to my legs first and the rest of my body later (when using a mousse developer tan) usually an hour before

You should add another layer of self tan about an hour after first application
I find when I have shaved and put self tan on my legs they don’t tan as much as the rest of my body, but do if I add another layer of a tan
or buy a self tan which states dark self tan and wait a day after shaving

@LimeCheesecake currently using bondi sands but have used just about everything out there!

Are you exfoliating first?
