Dress for a meal out and possibly cocktails in a nice bar

I'm not sure what is going on but usually I can find a decent dress that fits the bill quite easily, so far I've looked at H&M, Zara, new look, mango, & other stories, M&S, pretty little thing which was way too revealing for me and asos. Any shop suggestions for me? I am 38, size 12 but very curvy and want something I could wear with flats or heels that make me feel dressed up but not look like I want to go clubbing! Most my weight is on my stomach!

What budget?
Any preferred colours?

I've recently bought this dress in the neutral colour from mint velvet. More flattering than I expected it to be and can be dressed up or down. Very comfortable too. www.mintvelvet.co.uk/products/neutral-tie-side-midi-dress

Oh, good find. That's lovely!

My budget is as low as possible but could stretch to the mint velvet one which is lovely as it could be casual and dressy, the other navy one is lovely too but maybe too dressy. Thank you
