And still managing to style it in a sophisticated way? I'm 42 but look and dress younger (not that I think age should matter one bit when choosing clothes but since I know it always comes up on S&B.)

I really like bombers and varsity style so was thinking of combining and getting a vintage one or a new one with vintage styling, something I could wear with jeans or over a dress. But I want to avoid some of the slightly cartoony bold ones which look great on some people but I think I'm after something a touch sophisticated - if that's even possible!!

My colouring is bright winter palette so I can't wear beiges or nudes (that would be the ideal option otherwise).

I love the black varsity jacket that Kelly McDonald wears in her episode of Call My Agent. It’s pretty plain, no emblems or letters, but I thought she looked so cool.

Absolutely not as I remember them the first time round and therefore it reminds me how old I am 😂

I have always loved them but can't pull them off. I love that preppy American look. Got some for the dc so I can live vicariously through them!

I have a similar to the black one from Mint Velvet, few years old now though, Could also be a Nike destroyer jacket.

I've been looking at bombers and loved them as a teen in the 80s. I sway between sod it buy it and you are middle-aged woman, not in the slightest elegant, short and on the slightly dumpy side get a bloody grip...🤣
