I am curious how you would style a crotchet midi dress similar to these ones I have linked?

The occasion is daytime garden party. I have no idea what shoes or jewellery to wear for example.

Slip, heeled mules, bangles. It's a very Y2K/90s look.

QueueEtwo · 23/05/2023 22:23

I would probably wear some tan wedge sandals & some biggish earrings!
Sort of a 70's vibe without looking like fancy dress! 🤣

Littleguggi · 23/05/2023 22:32

I can't go heels so thinking espadrilles with a smallish flatform type heel, does that sound okay?

Love the idea of bangles and big earrings (without looking like fancy dress).

Low wedge espadrilles

I don't own these so have no idea re size, comfort, durability but apart from that they're ideal for that dress.

@NatashaDancing thank you that's exactly what I had I mind or a sandal/ open toe version of flatform espadrilles!

I bought these are they are not lined ! I sent them back . I wanted one to wear out not just the beach and for that money I’d have expected it not to be see through !

changewhale · 24/05/2023 16:20

I'd keep jewellery to a minimum or go for a beachy vibe they look like nice beachy dresses

Littleguggi · 24/05/2023 16:31

The one I have brought is lined and from Fatface, it's definitely not a beach dress the one I have. But I can see how the unlined ones would work well over a bikini!

@changewhale yes that's the one. Thanks for linking the bag, I didn't realise Mint Velvet had 20% off most items and now I've gone down a rabbit hole! Thinking sandals like this to go with the dress:

It's a lovely dress. I see what you mean about the lining. It elevates it. Very nice.

Littleguggi · 24/05/2023 20:31

Thank you, I wasn't sure at first as it's not my usual style but it is very flattering. And that's coming from someone who doesn't tend to wear fitted clothing!
