Ok to wear black velvet jumpsuit to a wedding?

Wedding is in March, so still winter. Would a black jumpsuit be ok? Something like this? Will wear silver shoes and bit more bling with jewellery.

We obviously don't know the bride, but wearing black to a wedding is generally considered bad form. You shouldn't be mourning at a wedding.
