I’d love some ideas on what to wear for a school event in July. I’m 5’2”. Big boobs (34DD). Weight around 9 1/2 stone. Also need ideas for footwear. I’d probably prefer a dress.

That depends very much on the event! If it's the usual Summer Fair and you are helping out, then jeans or short , a t shirt and an apron with pockets. If it's a faux graduation ceremony or a prize-giving, then a dress and sandals, maybe wedges or heels. Will you be standing or sitting?

What sort of event?!?

TheEverdelightfulsamantha · 21/05/2023 22:27

tell us more about the event (and the type of school) and perhaps we can help (tracksuits would be fine at my school, parents at the school my brothers kids go to dress as if they are going to ascot for prize giving…

also, 34DD is really not big boobs - I’m that size and mine are very average (I’ve actually just googled and average bra size in the UK is 36DD so not too far off)

What's the event and what's your part in it? Are you staff or parent?

Crazy8 · 21/05/2023 22:29

I should have mentioned it’s a prize giving.

It will be reasonably dressy.

I’m a parent. There are some very judgemental parents there so I’d just like to go with some confidence.

My DDs ( private if that matters) school has a formal prize giving afternoon every summer. All very fancy in a huge marquee with a cream tea afterwards. Last year I just wore a floral midi dress from Next that cost around £40 and some wedges which were also from Next. I didn't look out of place at all and didn't see the need to buy anything new for the occasion. I'll probably wear similar this year. I'm 34D ( that's not big!) and a size 12.

Thanks. Next is a great idea. I’ll check out their dresses.
