White top - holy grail?

Every year it seems that I'm looking for the impossible - a good quality, well cut, NOT see through, white top with some sort of sleeves (short/3/4) that isn't too long and can go with jeans or skirts, I like clothes that are fitted but not too clingy. Most importantly the top needs to not be see through so I don't have to wear a camisole under it.

I'm size 10, reasonable bust (32DD), short body, mid 40s so trying to avoid tops that make me look a bit frumpy - but equally can't get away with the strappy tops I used to.

I've tried so many and even looking at ones that are c£100 they are see through Confused

Any help much appreciated...

I don't believe such a thing exists so following to be proven wrong.

M&S white t shirts are excellent or Next. I get them from here and they are never see through. Not more than £25 either

If you mean white top and not a tee OP, I agree with you. It's so hard to find those. Not sure why the white tops look ridiculous these days and see through. Even if you find an odd good one, it's well above the £60 mark

I've had a look on my usuals (cos/ arket/ H&M) and nothing is fitted. I think you may need to look away from the more fashion led websites maybe try next etc

Have you tried www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/

Thanks all, I should have specified that I'm looking for a top not a T-shirt (as they tend not to have much shape) although the LK Bennett one may be possible with some alteration, I like the sleeves on it.

Why is it so difficult - surely this is quite basic Confused

I'll have a look at the kettlewell ones - what a range of colours.

Any other suggestions welcome Smile

I have this one from Jigsaw, and it is smart and not see through. I know it says T-shirt, but it is smart enough to wear as a top for work etc. due to the scoop neck and quality finish. I buy it in a size larger than my normal one so that it isn’t too tight (I’m a 12 and buy size L): https://www.jigsaw-online.com/products/supima-cotton-short-sleeve-tee-white

Jigsaw also do a double fabric long-sleeves version which is very good too.

If you don't mind a bit of lace. I've a couple of dresses from here and their great value for money
