White leggings

kitsuneghost · 21/05/2023 10:22

And idea where to get some cheap comfy white leggings
Preferably for around £10 as the are a work necessity rather than fashion and will be under a dress so see through at the bum not an issue
I have some peacocks one but the fabric is quite stiff and I would like some supersoft ones (prinark only has black)

Thank you

M&S
I have cropped white leggings from M&S that are not see-through , not sure on price as I've had them a couple of years .

I also bought the white jeggings (slightly off white ) for when I'm harnessing my inner Liz Hurley Grin

kitsuneghost · 21/05/2023 17:31

Ooh they might be good. They don't look so short on the model. I need full length but I am only 5ft so they may be long enough.

I can’t think of any occasion on which wearing white leggings might be a good idea, except maybe if one is 4. Surely a midi dress with bare ankles would be nicer and also cooler?

Unfortunately not allowed bare ankles at work.
Personally would be happier and cooler with my legs out but not possible I'm afraid,
As I said in OP it's not a fashion thing. Just find white is bit cooler in the heat.

Leggings arent tights though, so your ankles will be bare. What job is this?

I am a scientist so work in a lab.
Nobody bothered for 20 years but we have been taken over recently and they have got quite arsey now.
They said I should be wearing trousers or jeans. I suggested tights and was told no. So I suggested leggings and was told they would be fine.
I wear 3/4 socks too so they 'fill the gap'. I am aware it's not a great look but neither is the lab coat and safety specs. Wink

Sorry that wasn't meant to be a bottle lol. Promise I don't drink at work .

Why don't you want to wear jeans? Personally think they'd be a million times better than white leggings.

Anyway, none of my business so will bugger off now!

The OP has said they're not a necessity - she's just chosen for them to be a necessity (that is, not a necessity).

Just find them uncomfortable

I have some cropped white leggings I got from Next last summer - they are viscose rather than cotton though and whilst they are soft, they have an 'odd' feel to them .

kitsuneghost · 21/05/2023 20:31

To clarify. The necessity / requirement is for all parts of you body below the neck to be covered.
You can cover with what you like (bar tights). I like to be comfortable and get hot easily so prefer floaty dresses especially in summer. To wear these I need at least leggings underneath.

Anyway thank you to everyone who actually gave white legging suggestions.

The Amazon leggings that are brilliant are the sinophant ones. I don't know how to link sorry but they have over 50k reviews so should be easy to spot

I have only had the black ones but they are so soft and have a nice waistband quite wide
They used to just do black but I see they now have lots of options including white
