Slaay dress code?

Hi, I'm old and rubbish with fashion. I'm going to birthday party in brighton at proud cabaret and the website says the dress code is 'Slaay with a capital S'. What the heck does that mean? 😂 I've tried googling and still don't get it. I was going to aim to wear a summer dress and trainers...would that count or would I need to take shoes to change into (I can't do heels) Help please!

Dress fabulously I'd expect. Best clothes, most daring and bold!

My teenage nieces use that term A LOT! 🤣 they've explained it to me as: a woman who is body confident and loving life. So it's not exactly a certain fashion- it's about your attitude. So for example when we were driving few weeks ago they spotted a lady walking down the street in really bright clothes but coz of her self confidence even when not being v trendy they were saying she was "so slay".
So - whatever you wear - wear it with attitude! And have fun!

No one ever invites me to anything half so exciting - so I must make do with the vicarious thrill of online searching. I might consider one or two of these …

Slay means like "own it, be fabulous" " you SLAYED that girlfriend!". Followed by clicking your fingers in a zigzag with a sassy head jerk!

You know?...I'm down with the kids me!

They're just asking you to bring your fun, happy outrageous, glamorous self and to expect a fun time.

Don't get too caught up in it just wear what you normally would with a bit extra
