Bra with a backless dress?

I’m liking this very discounted Reiss dress for an event (opera festival!) this summer. But I’d need a bra underneath, which looks tricky with the low back and one shoulder.

Are any styles of bras ok to be visible without committing a fashion crime?
Or are there any I can wear that would not show?

(I’m a 28f from bravissimo, less perky than they used to be!)

Glyndbourne?

Unless you are unusually lucky with the weather you are more likely to be covering up. It is a lovely dress though

Yes! And think I can reuse a bit too. But only with a bra…

I recently bought the CatoFree Push Up Invisible Bra from Amazon. I can’t seem to link it. But it’s a stick on bra with a clasp at the front. Completely backless and strapless. I didn’t have high hopes but I’m pleasantly surprised! I’m a 28E so quite small but quite saggy! It stayed stuck all evening, gave a decent shape, and was more supportive than no bra.
I bought it in a C which was the perfect size.

Definitely try and get a bra that you can't see the straps. I don't understand when women have a beautiful backless dress and it's spoilt by bra straps. It's sort of defeats the object of backless imo.

It's a really lovely dress btw

I bought a bra to wear with backless items, it looks like a normal one from the front but the back crosses over and is lower slung allowing you to wear it with lower backed dresses etc

Thanks all! Good to hear the stick on one worked, I’ve never tried those.

am I hearing it’s a no to embracing the visible bralet trend with something like this in a contrasting colour? https://www.gossard.com/superboost-lace-deep-v-bralet-ocean-blue-ocean-blue-7718-ocb.html

Yes. It would spoil the look of the dress.

Would it be that bad to just not wear a bra?

Get a multiway bra where the straps can be switched over, removed etc then add this to the bottom:

Perky Pears might work with that. I've used them for other style tops and they work well (can't remember my bra size but not small), it's just whether it would go under that dress.
