Recurring ingrowing hair

Kendaland · 17/05/2023 19:02

I keep getting a large and very sore ingrown hair in the same spot on my bikini area. I have dug it out multiple times and thought that was the end of it, then it will make a reappearance.

It rarely comes to a proper head, and just gets to the size of a marble deep under the skin, red and hard (sorry if you’re eating! 🤢)

tried Ingrow Go with success on others but nothing seems to permanently shift this bugger

ideas please? It’s so sore and unattractive especially if I want to go swimming

Something to see the gp about?

Kendaland · 18/05/2023 05:18

It feels very unimportant for GP tbh, it’s a nightmare to get an appointment when it is important! I hadn’t really thought of it as a medical issue tbh and more cosmetic but I guess you’re right 🤷‍♀️

You could ask on sporner corner, they seem to have ideas of how to resolve this kind of thing, and they will defo be engaged with the topic.

Might be folliculitis in that hair follicle so yes see the GP?

xyz111 · 18/05/2023 09:13

Do you pluck it out, and does the root come out too? Could be you're just snapping it.

anon12093 · 18/05/2023 10:05

There could be 20 hairs in that one area so you removing 12 of them but not every last one. See how it goes.

Epsom salt baths reduce swelling massively.

Realistically, Sporner Corner will tell you to use magnesium sulphate on it, and then take pictures of the result.

Yes, definitely!! Also exfoliating will help.
