short rectangle shape - do I wait for outfits I like to come back in stock or ask for ideas to find something else...?

I need an outfit for a wedding I'm going to, but ideally I could wear to a birthday party as well.

Wedding is at a church but the reception is going to be fairly informal (I think tents in a field) and the party is at a sports club.....not sure if it's optimistic to get one outfit to cover both!!

I'm very short (less than 5 ft) , size 8 and rectangle shape. Small boobs/wide waist/small hips. I'm thinking of a dress or jumpsuit but all the things I like are out of stock in my size. Unsure whether to wait, or find something that is in stock.

I suit dark or bright colours over pastels, and small patterns rather than large. knee length or just below the knee dresses are not flattering for me and I'd prefer halterneck, or short sleeves over long sleeves.

Below are links to what I like (but not available in my size) so looking for suggestions of other things that might actually be in stock!! Any ideas please?

Any ideas please, or anyone know if these brands are likely to restock regularly? (They are not ones I generally shop at)

I'm 5ft, size 6-8 and a similar body shape to you.

Whether you go for a jumpsuit or dress, I'd suggest something with a belted waist so you can cinch in at the right waist position.

I love jumpsuits and have several I've bought over the years, all with belts and cropped or ankle length, but they can be tricky to fit - the length from neckline to crotch needs to fit properly otherwise will look out of proportion.

I've bought smart-ish jumpsuits in the past from petite sections in New Look, Dorothy Perkins and Boden.

I've seen (but not bought) nice jumpsuits on Asos petite and Warehouse (who online have a petite section and whose sizing I've generally found small-ish) - both are worth checking out.

I struggle with midi dresses (just don't personally think they suit my height) though have worn a couple of ankle length dresses (bought from Mango, H&M and Other Stories). They were more of a Summer outfit though and possibly not smart enough for a wedding.

Finally, I've resigned myself to getting things altered - dry cleaners can take up length for a tenner usually. I also know a good seamstress for anything more complicated.

Thank you @dameofdilemma there are 2 jumpsuits I like on the New look website but not the right colour for me.
But I have checked warehouse and seen a possible one
The midi dresses I linked I think will be nearer ankle length for me!
