Wait gain/loss and clothes

I'm currently carrying about half a stone extra to normal, following an injury that stopped me exercising for a while.

It was 10lbs, so I've reduced a bit, but progress is much slower than it has been previously in this situation (I'm now 53)

Anyway through all of this my clothes still seem to fit. I'm 5'7" and size 10 (8 in some crazily generous brands).

I really want to update some of the key pieces in my wardrobe, but I'm wary of doing it whilst hoping to drop a bit of weight, although as I said, progress is sloooow.

How much difference can half a stone make? Would you do it now? It's starting to feel like the weight loss might never happen.

It doesn't sound like you need to lose weight at all? 5'7" and a size 8/10?

As long as what you buy fits like your current clothes, no bigger, then I'd say you'd be fine.
