How are you exfoliating your face?

Tell me your process for exfoliating your face please/what you’re using!

I get dry patchy skin especially around my nose and I feel like the only way I get rid of it is using exfoliating gloves and being quite rough which can’t be good.

I use the ordinary acid peel (the one that looks like blood!)

I use chemical exfoliation. So, Paula's Choice BHA liquid exfoliant a couple times a week. In between I use Clinique's No 2 clarifying lotion - which is the same time of exfoliant but not quite as harsh.

I use a flannel with my choice of face wash or cleansing cream.

ArianahX · 12/05/2023 12:22

Clinique clarifying lotion no2 after my Simple purifying cleansing lotion.

Lobelia123 · 12/05/2023 12:42

I use Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant....a very fine powder that you mix with water and then rub on your face...one of my favourite products, does good exfoliation without being too harsh.

Liorae · 12/05/2023 12:51

Baking soda mixed into my foaming cleanser. Gentle but effective if used frequently.

The cera ve salicylic acid cleanser!
It's so good, I use a tiny bit a couple times a week and leave it for a minute or two when in the shower, wash it off and my face has never been smoother, then I moisturise after. My current one has lasted me over 6 months and no horrid dry patches or bumps on my skin and my skin isnt all red after! Oh I also dry my face with a towel straight after, I know that's probs a no brained to most but I just let it air dry before, but when I take the time to dry it carefully it exfoliates extra

HumourReplacementTherapy · 12/05/2023 14:44

I always use a face cloth to cleanse so that helps on a daily basis then I'll use an acid based exfoliant once a week ish
Either REN or
Kate sommerville exfolikate

I have a couple of samples of pixiglow. Otherwise I occasionally use nip & fab physical exfoliant, aka face scrub but I'm very gentle with it

dudsville · 13/03/2024 15:31

I also used to use exfoliating gloves and had the same worry! For me, I stopped having dry patches when i started using balm cleanser, glycolic acid and hyaluronic acid, balm moisturiser and occasionally a barrier cream on top like EA8hr night time cream or Egyptian Magic. Exfoliating never actually solved it.

I use a flannel with my cleanser that's my physical part

Chemical exfoliation is REN AHA but once that runs out I'll be using Alpha Liquid Gold

I have bought the Sali Hughes 5 acid daily exfoliatiant but haven't opened it yet

LivingDeadGirlUK · 13/03/2024 16:09

Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser and a flannel.
