Measurements what clothes size?

I'm finding this really irritating I'm a weird shape. Trousers sag at my waist can anyone recommend clothing brands that cater to this.

Looks like u will need to get things altered, so they fit u perfectly.

Its pot luck. Not even brands have consistency across their own range.

I always thought a 26" waist was a 8 and a 24" a 6.

Where are you shopping and what styles are you buying? I'm those measurements and sizing does vary a lot between stores, but more so between styles.

I'll get flamed for this but many shops don't cater much for those of us with waists. High rise jeans often fit my bum but gape around the waist.

Jeans , tops , dresses nothing fits correctly. I think for more formal clothing I will have to pay and get it altered. I was wondering if any clothing companies specifically cater to different shapes.

Age 15 teenager clothes, maybe age 14. Adjustable waists !!

I don't want clothes designed for teenagers thanks, I'd rather dress in styles more my age!

I did buy an age 13-14 coat as an emergency and it fit but I'm a 30 year old woman 👵 hahaha.

I'm way older than OP, and I wear teenager's clothes.

I have very similar stats to the OP. I have some things tailored to fit. Because there is relatively little consistency across brand and even within brands, often the smallest sizes are still too big. That said, I find more expensive brands are cut smaller and fit (me) better.

God only knows what the really slim women do.

The only problem with having things altered is that with skirts, once they fit me on the waist, I cannot pull them up over my hips so need to put them on over my head rather than step into them!

Post us a link to what you what to wear OP, I'll find you the teenage size version.

OP mentioned jeans.
"Mom fit" jeans from M&S, age 13-14 yrs, suitable for 25-26.75" waist.
Those may not be adjustable, but a lot of the teen clothes are.
I wear girls' adjustable school trousers in office, plain black go with anything trousers.
