I'm 43 and started going grey in my 20s. I'm having to touch my roots up every 2 weeks and it's driving me mad.
Really thinking about just letting the grey come through and go natural.

Those who are in your 40s could you please show me pics of your natural grey hair. Thanks

Would love to grow it out but not sure what it would look like or if it would age me

There’s a similar thread on AIBU at the moment that might be helpful https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4803389-grey-hair-really-getting-me-down?reply=126086766

I can’t post a pic as it would be too outing but I had to ditch the dye due to reactions and it was the best thing in the end. There’s a Facebook group called Grombre UK/EU if you’re in that area. Or there’s a US based group with a similar name too. There’s loads of pictures and advice on them.

What does 'age me' really mean, and why does it matter?

My approach is I am the age I am, it is not linked to my clothing/hair choices.

I have noticed at work a range of women from 30s upwards with fully grey hair. Some look great and some do not.

We all have such a distorted view on aging. I personally think that if everyone embraced their own natural hair colour then we would just see grey hair as just another hair colour. After all, I found my first grey hair at age 16 and by early 30's I was 80% grey, no one considers 30 something as old.

Having said that my grey colouring is a bit blah.

Grey since early teens. Stopped coloring 5/6 years ago.

I couldn't agree more. It's not grey hair that ages you, it's time.

Stopped dyeing in my 30s due to developing an allergy. Here's mine many years on...
