I'm on the hunt for a new perfume that won't break the bank. My recent favourites

Jo Malone wood sage & sea salt
Jo Malone myrrh & tonka
Molecule 01
Baccarat rouge 540

I like quite strong, heady scents, nothing floral or anything too sweet. Nothing has really captured me recently so hoping for recommendations

You could Google Zara and Marks and Spencer dupes for high end perfumes and try those.

Juliette has a gun - sample set. Absolutely gorgeous and not ridiculously priced for a small size

I have very similar perfume tastes to you, I have all of the ones you mentioned apart from JM myrrh & tonka. Have you tried Lady Vengeance by Juliette has a gun? I think you might like that. I also like Penhaligon's Luna, although I think you may find that too sweet?

Thank you for the recommendations.

I'll hunt out the discovery set to hopefully find a new favourite.

I don't actually mind sweet perfumes my absolute favourite was guerlain my insolence which was pure Parma violets but sadly discontinued

I think Le Labo could have a few nice ones for you? Their Santal is lovely, as is Labdanem. Creed also do some very strong heady ladies scents, but to me they need to be smelt in person definitely to decide. Similarly Maison Crivelli (hibiscus mahajid is a personal fave).

I also love and have all of the perfumes on your list so hopefully have a similar nose!

My favourite perfume store has more than 20 bottles of each in stock

GUERLAIN Insolence Eau de Toilette Spray

Impertinent Insolence. L'Insolence is a spark in the eyes, an intrepid smile that knows no fear and fears no one, an amused silence. It's a bearing; a careless grace; an ironic elegance. She is bold, with style to boot! To top it off, for

If you like BR540, you may well also like Trajan by Electimuss London.

Oooo I also love heady perfumes. Off the top of my head…

Nasomatto Baroanda (boozy…gorgeous!)
Diptyque Eau Duelle (a fav for winter, warm and spicy with incense)
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur (sexy and quite…rugged?)
Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady (it is rose but it’s so balsamic and spicy that it’s certainly not a typical floral)
Fragrance du Bois Santal Complet
Byredo Sellier
