Help - capsule wardrobe for new job

I am starting a new job in broadcasting in 2 weeks. It's a pretty senior role and I am worried my wardrobe doesn't reflect that.
I want a capsule wardrobe of different outfits I can put together. Please could you recommend some?
I am 5ft 6 and a size 14/16 and very bottom heavy. My style tends to be classic/ boring and I want something exciting!

My strong advice is to book a personal shopper session at John Lewis. They will do exactly this for you and give advice on what suits. I do this every few years for a total work wardrobe refresh. Much better than trying to do this yourself.
