Muji sizing

Can anyone advise on Muji sizing? I have my eye on a couple of items of knitwear, but the sizing is S,M,L and I wonder if they run small?

I’m usually a S, 10-12. Size 10 in M&S, supermarkets etc., but sometimes a 12 or size M in Zara etc. 30E bust. I’m also reasonably tall - 5’9” - and wondering if that will be an issue.

Thoughts on Muji quality also appreciated. They charge for returns so I want to get it right first time!

Muji is a Japanese brand and designed for bodies much smaller than ours. I'd recommend the largest size in any item they make, or indeed try the men's range.

I'm an 8/10 and take medium in t shirts, trousers, and dresses. And 27" in jeans.

Quality is good for the price. Their tshirts are excellent.

I've just looked at a thick knit jumper I bought from Muji a year or two ago. It says XS-S. I'd say I'm a true size 14 with a large stomach, so no, they don't come up particularly small!

Depends on the style (baggy, oversized clothing has been popular recently) and whether you want a close-fitting item or loose-fitting.

I find them tiny. The styles are usually loose, but I'm a 10-12 and usually buy L in Muji. The quality is excellent usually.

Thanks everyone - I ordered a couple of t shirts in Large. They fit well, albeit with a fairly loose cut. I can tell that a Medium would be too small on the hips and shoulders though. Very happy with the quality.
