curl secret or wave secret

Does anyone know the difference between these two tools? Babyliss Curl Secret or Wave Secret? I saw the wave secret in John Lewis the other day and was trying to find out what it did, but couldn't tell if it was just an update on the curl secret or a new product that is more for waves. It seems to allow curls in both directions but apart from that didn't look much different!

And does anyone know if it works on curly hair? Mine is wavy/frizzy/wild, so I usually end up using a hot brush on it and/or sleeping in a pony tail to straighten the roots and mid section. But I end up with kind of frizzy undefined curls at the ends, so I thought something like this might help curls the ends that always just stick out with other curling methods. I used to have kind of ringlety curls but no longer.

anyone? Or any good reviews about the curl secret, as that seems to be much cheaper than the wave secret (which made me wonder if the curl secret is now discontinued)

I have a curl secret which I bought many years ago and have just started to use again after failing miserably when I first got it. This time I seem to have nailed it and am happy with the results. It looks like the wave version makes looser waves instead of the spirals I get with mine.

I could be wrong, but if you used to have ringlety curls but no longer, this could be down to heat damage from the tools, which will destroy natural curl over time.
