What tops with these skirts?

Hi All

wondering if anyone can help me out with suggestions for some tips to go it these skirts as I’m so useless at this sort of stuff. If the person in the shop hasn’t told me what will go nicely with it I just wear black but I’m trying to branch out.

have tried to attach the three skirts below. They are for summer, not dressy or for work just playground trips with children and general city exploring. I have dark hair but light skin if that makes a difference? I’ve always avoided whites cause my sister aways used to say it washes me out and doesn’t look good on me.

For the first two a plain classic navy top would look fab I reckon, something like this

If you think white isn’t your colour, would you try off-white/cream/ivory ? A few round or v neck t-shirts in those shades and you’d be sorted.

I think a nice plain light pink top with the red one, a plain light blue top with with the middle one and for the navy top again something plain to balance the pattern out so possibly light blue again.

I think the first two skirts are quite versatile to be honest and you could wear any solid colour which works well for your colouring.

For me for example I’d wear a coral pink or an emerald green or a vibrant blue with these. Actually the green or blue would work with the red one too but not the coral pink.

What colours do you normally look best in?

How long are the skirts ?
Are they Summer or are they adaptable to Spring/Autumn?

Are , most important ....where did you buy them, they're lovely

For the middle one I'd try yellow or green (is a near a shade to the colours as I could)

For the other ones , I'd probaby pair with white TBH

Do you think white washes you out or is it just your sister ?

I’d wear a fitted long sleeve t shirt, navy, dark green, red.

Ignore your sister, @Squiffy01. All those skirts require nothing more than a fairly fitted, quite cropped (to navel, not hip) white cotton or linen short sleeved t shirt. You don’t need to find other colours to ‘match’ each of them. White t shirt, flouncy skirt, classic Summer look.

Black or white vest top and an open denim shirt or jacket. Perfect for summer.

Love the red one.

Agree with others a white short sleeved fitted tshirt or a red one with the navy and even the red skirt but that might be too much red.

I've skirts a bit like that (different patterns), and that's what I put with them.

What length are they?

Id probably just pick a top in a neutral colour because the patterns are quite busy and Im rubbish at colour matching!
Honestly though I think a white top looks ok on most people, if anything black or dark colours will make you look washed out!
